Emma Wood
Emma Wood has been appointed as Governor for the Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust.
Emma, who is a partner in Russell & Russell’s wills and probate department, will be in post for three years.
Having qualified as a solicitor in 2006, she works from the firm’s Horwich office, dealing with all elements of elderly client care, including wills, probate, lasting powers of attorney and providing advice on care fees.
Emma is highly regarded in her field of law, having become a fully accredited member of Solicitors for the Elderly in 2015 and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) since 2017. She is also a dementia friend and is a Trustee for Age UK in Bolton.
“This is a really proud moment for me”, said Emma. “To be selected as one of the Governors is a real vote of confidence in my abilities both personally and professionally and I’m delighted to be representing the Trust in such important matters”.
