Vacancy Description: Private Law Solicitor – Family Dept.    

Location: Bolton/Bury Office 

Hours: 9.00 am to 5.00 pm - Monday to Friday (1 Hour Lunch)

Salary: Negotiable depending upon experience.

We have a vacancy for a private law solicitor (4 years PQE) who can run a caseload of divorce/finance and children files to work in our busy family department based at our Bolton/Bury office.    

The position will involve travel to courts and other offices therefore candidate must have a car available for work use.  

Ongoing training, guidance and support from the team is provided.  

Job role

Working within a busy office with a friendly team of people, you will be expected to carry out the following duties:

  • Run own private caseload and work independently   
  • Capability of undertaking a mix of Legal Aid & Private Family work in all areas 
  • Ability to use CCMS and have a sound understanding of legal aid criteria 

Skills Required   

  • Experience in private law
  • Good organisational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail (accuracy essential)
  • Good communication skills 
  • Good IT skills 
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Friendly and professional manner
